You do not have to name it perfectly to begin...

Whether you are carrying something heavy or simply feeling lost, you are welcome here — exactly as you are. Aysh Clinics provides specialized, trauma-informed psychotherapy for Muslim, South Asian, and Arab families in Ontario, built to see the whole of you: your history, your culture, your faith, and your pain — without asking you to separate any of them.

We provide specialized, trauma-informed support across a wide range of concerns — including depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, relationship challenges, anger, postpartum changes, ADHD, life transitions, self-esteem, spiritual struggles, Islamophobia, racial identity, domestic violence, parenting, burnout, and more. If you are living it, we are equipped to walk alongside you.

CLINICAL MODALITIESEvery clinician at Aysh works from a toolkit built for complexity — combining gold-standard clinical approaches with deep cultural fluency and Islamic literacy.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an internationally recognized, evidence-based protocol for healing trauma at its root. At Aysh Clinics, EMDR is delivered in your heart-language — Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, or English — because we know trauma is coded in the language it occurred in. For complex PTSD, childhood trauma, and deep-seated emotional wounds.

CBT & SOLUTION FOCUSED THERAPY

Evidence-based tools for anxiety, depression, burnout, and life transitions. Practical, goal-oriented, and delivered with cultural intelligence. Ideal for the Future Builder navigating university, career, and family expectations.

PLAY THERAPY, ART THERAPY & SAND TRAY THERAPY

For children and youth (ages 5–18), healing doesn't always look like talking. We use sand tray, art, and Islamic storytelling to help young people process emotions, build identity, and feel safe. Culturally integrated, parent-informed, child-centred.

Walk & Talk Therapy (Ottawa)

Walk and Talk Therapy combines traditional talk therapy with the grounding benefits of gentle movement outdoors. Sessions take place on accessible Ottawa pathways, offering a more relaxed, natural setting that can ease anxiety, support emotional processing, and help clients feel more open. This modality follows the same evidence‑based approaches used in‑clinic while integrating the restorative effects of nature and fresh air. Seasonal availability.

PARTS WORK - INTERNAL FAMILY SYSTEMS (IFS)

A powerful approach for integrating the many parts of yourself that carry pain, shame, or fear — toward internal harmony. Deeply compatible with Islamic concepts of the Nafs and the inner self, and the lifelong work of becoming whole.

DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOR THERAPY (DBT)

A structured, skills-based approach for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and building distress tolerance. Particularly effective for emotional dysregulation, self-destructive patterns, and the exhaustion of feeling everything too deeply. DBT gives you concrete tools — not just insight, but practice.

MINDFULNESS-BASED COGNITIVE THERAPY (MBCT)

A gentle but clinically rigorous approach that combines cognitive therapy with mindfulness practices to interrupt cycles of rumination, anxiety, and low mood. At Aysh, MBCT is offered with awareness of Islamic contemplative traditions — for clients who find that stillness and presence resonate with their spiritual practice.

ISLAMIC COUNSELLING - TIIP

Grounded in Traditional Islamically Integrated Psychotherapy (TIIP), this approach honours the Nafs (self), Qalb (heart), and Ruh (soul) as active dimensions of your healing — not separate from clinical work, but woven into it. For clients who want their faith to be a resource in the room, not an explanation left at the door. Islamic integration is always client-led, never imposed.

COUPLES THERAPY

One of the most extensively researched approaches to couples therapy in the world, the Gottman Method builds the foundations of trust, communication, and repair within a relationship. At Aysh, delivered alongside the Islamic principles of Rahmah (mercy) and Shura (mutual consultation) — for couples who want their marriage both clinically strengthened and spiritually grounded.

COGNITIVE PROCESSING THERAPY (CPT)

A structured therapy for processing the meaning that trauma has left behind — the beliefs about yourself, the world, and safety that formed in response to painful experiences. Highly effective for PTSD, assault, loss, and complex grief. CPT helps you rewrite the story trauma wrote about who you are.
